As part of its new\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.henkel.com\/press-and-media\/press-releases-and-kits\/2018-09-03-henkel-announces-ambitious-targets-for-sustainable-packaging-873418\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">packaging strate<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">g<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">y<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, the company has set itself the target of making<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0100 percent of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">its<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">by 2025 \u2013 this had been\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">achieved for more than 80 percent of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">its<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0packaging<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0by the end of 2018. Henkel also wants to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">use 35 percent recycled plastic\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">for the<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0pack<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ag<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ing\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">its<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0consumer good<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0products in Europe<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0by 2025. One example is the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.henkel.com\/press-and-media\/press-releases-and-kits\/2018-11-15-one-year-of-successful-partnership-with-plastic-bank-891770\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">partnership with Plastic Bank<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u2013 a social enterprise\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">that aims to stop plastic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">waste<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">in the oceans and provide opportunities for people in poverty<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">at the same time.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0At three collection centers in Haiti that have been built as part of the cooperation with Henkel, a total of<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0around<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">63 metric tons of plastic ha<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s already<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0been collected, sorted and subsequently<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">introduced into the recycling value chain.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0Henkel has already used this\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Social Plastic<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00ae<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0in\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.henkel.com\/press-and-media\/press-releases-and-kits\/2018-10-05-henkel-product-packaging-with-social-plastic-880328\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">25,000 laundry detergent and house<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">old clean<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ing<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0bottles<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.
