{"id":1623,"date":"2014-01-13T13:55:20","date_gmt":"2014-01-13T12:55:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bcsdh.hu\/?p=1623"},"modified":"2014-01-13T13:55:20","modified_gmt":"2014-01-13T12:55:20","slug":"world-economic-forum-publication-spotlights-action2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bcsdh.hu\/en\/news\/world-economic-forum-publication-spotlights-action2020\/","title":{"rendered":"World Economic Forum publication spotlights Action2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><\/strong><em>Green Light<\/em>, the monthly newsletter by the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Governance for Sustainability, recently focused its January edition on the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbcsd.org\/action2020.aspx\">Action2020 initiative<\/a>, set to be officially launched later this month at the WEF\u2019s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.<\/p>\n<p>The WEF\u2019s <em>Green Light<\/em> publication highlights promising economic and environmental initiatives, and in its January edition, entitled <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbcsd.org\/Web\/NewsDocuments\/GreenLight5thEditionAction2020.pdf\">Can business help the world become more sustainable?<\/a><\/strong>, <em>Green Light<\/em> describes Action2020 as, \u201ca framework for the business community to take concrete and measurable steps toward a sustainable pathway voluntarily.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The publication\u2019s first section highlights the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wbcsd.org\/vision2050.aspx\">WBCSD\u2019s Vision2050 initiative<\/a>\u00a0that set out three years ago to tackle how nine billion people could live well and within the boundaries of the planet.
