BCSDH welcomed a new member into its organization. Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, the market-leading Hungaropharma Pharmaceutical Trading Plc., a 100% Hungarian-owned pharmaceutical wholesale company, has joined BCSDH\u2019s collaborative efforts for sustainable development.<\/p>\n
With its pharmaceutical logistics activities, Hungaropharma Plc. is a critical part of Hungary’s infrastructure. Employing nearly 700 people, the company ranks among the TOP 50 Hungarian companies based on net revenue. The company maintains relationships with all players in the pharmaceutical trade: nearly all private pharmacies, hospitals and healthcare providers, other pharmaceutical wholesalers, manufacturers, and distributors, as well as NEAK, KEF, OKF\u0150, and NNGYK, are among their main partners. The company’s principal owners include B\u00e9res Pharmaceuticals Ltd., EGIS Pharmaceuticals Plc., Gedeon Richter Plc., and Magyar Gy\u00f3gyszer Vagyonkezel\u0151 Ltd.<\/p>\n
Since 2022, Hungaropharma Zrt. has been voluntarily publishing sustainability reports. Among the significant environmental impacts arising from its logistics activities are air pollution due to greenhouse gas emissions from transportation and waste generation, which are highlighted as key topics in their sustainability report.<\/p>\n
Their goal is the continuous reduction and minimization of all negative environmental impacts. In line with this, they have identified the following key areas of environmental responsibility: reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, reducing and maximizing the recycling of waste generated by the company’s activities, reducing water usage and wastewater, increasing the energy efficiency of sites, and the widespread adoption of renewable energy sources. To achieve these goals, they prioritize compliance with environmental laws and regulations, expecting the same from their subcontractors and suppliers to strive for a sustainable value chain.<\/p>\n
The Hungaropharma Group, along with its nine subsidiaries, pays special attention to preventing and eliminating discrimination based on age, gender, marital status, nationality, religion, and other grounds.
