With more than 40 people in person, we held our next ESG working group meeting on 11 September 2024, hosted by KINSTELLAR.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The focus of the meeting was on the implementing regulations for the ESG law<\/strong> published in August. The most anticipated from companies were the detailed rules for the fulfilment of due diligence obligations for sustainability purposes, which were published in the Decree 13\/2024 (VIII.15.) of SZTFH<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event started with a welcome speech by Dr. Bal\u00e1zs Tomaj<\/strong>, lead lawyer of KINSTELLAR<\/strong> Energy Law Group. In his presentation he briefly described the domestic regulatory environment of ESG.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

To our great pleasure, we again accepted the invitation of G\u00e1bor Csaba Moln\u00e1r<\/strong>, ESG Director of the Regulatory Authority for Regulated Activities<\/strong>, who gave an overview of the specific implementing regulations and the content of the supplier questionnaire. His presentation was followed by a lively question and answer session.<\/p>\n

Attila B\u00e1lint<\/strong>, the sustainability officer of IKEA Hungary<\/strong>, then used practical examples to show how sustainability criteria can be incorporated into the selection of suppliers and how their implementation can be monitored and ensured.
\nTo conclude the event, Ir\u00e9n M\u00e1rta<\/strong> informed the participants about the organisation’s upcoming events.<\/p>\n
