In 2015, the member States of the United Nations adopted 17 new Sustainable Global Goals to make our world more prosperous, inclusive, sustainable and resilient over the fifteen year period to 2030. To help turn this commitment into action, KPMG has worked with the UN Global Compact to publish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Industry Matrix for Energy, Natural Resources and Chemicals. This report highlights commercial opportunities for shared value.\u00a0 The opportunities to contribute to each of the 17 Goals are illustrated with multiple examples of leading practices from companies in the energy, natural resources and chemicals industry. The publication also includes good practice industry principles and global multi-stakeholder partnerships.
