An inaccurate generation schedule can be costly for plant owners, as fast-forming clouds, heat, desert dust or falling snow can all significantly affect output. In the era of weather-dependent generation, accurate scheduling and rapid response are therefore essential.<\/p>\n<p>At ALTEO, the company\u2019s digital competence centre, ARTEMIS, and its in-house team of meteorologists play the key role in this. In an interview with Portfolio, ALTEO experts discuss how energy, meteorology, digitalization and AI come together, and why energy storage is becoming increasingly important.
