The solution<br \/>\nlies in making our lives more sustainable. We are trying to<br \/>\nfind solutions to this daunting challenge not only on a worldwide<br \/>\nscale, but also here at home in Hungary.<br \/>\nEven in Hungary there has been an upward trend in the number<br \/>\nof consumers who are demanding sustainable products<br \/>\nand services. Demand is increasing for healthier, greener, more<br \/>\nsustainable goods, as it is also for the solutions offered by the<br \/>\nsharing economy. Additionally, sustainably operating companies<br \/>\nand brands perform better than the average. There are<br \/>\nhuge opportunities in using our resources more efficiently.<br \/>\nFirms cannot neglect these changes, but need a change in perspective:<br \/>\nWe need to cut our ties with the linear model and<br \/>\nlook at waste as an asset and restructure production processes<br \/>\naccordingly, even at the early stages of product development.<br \/>\nWe also have to make sustainability a brand.<br \/>\nWe at BCSDH, with the leaders of our member companies,<br \/>\nmake two proposals for businesses that are seeking to reach<br \/>\ntheir goals in terms of sustainability:<br \/>\n<strong>1. Change business models to make sustainable products and<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>services more competitive<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>2.
