Agreement. Hungary aims to achieve the latter target by 2050 at the latest.<br \/>\nSeventy-three per cent of leading domestic companies already have net zero<br \/>\nemissions goals \u2013 more than double the 31% measured in 2021. While the latter can and<br \/>\nshould aim to meet most of their commitments in-house and primarily strive for this, in<br \/>\nmost cases, additional means are required to meet targets fully.<br \/>\nCarbon neutralisation is the most common such additional instrument used by<br \/>\ncompanies. The main related field of practice is the so-called \u2018voluntary carbon market\u2019,<br \/>\nwhere the &#8220;fruits&#8221; of emission reduction projects embodied in carbon credits change hands.<br \/>\nCarbon offsets, including nature-based carbon credits, are likely to become more and<br \/>\nmore popular in Hungary, too. This publication will help you get ahead of this process.<br \/>\nAt the initiative of the Central Bank of Hungary, the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary<br \/>\n(BCSDH) established a working group in January 2022 called Nature-based Climate Solutions.
