The Gran Gala dinner will serve a sophisticated fusion of fine Hungarian cuisine and Swedish Nobel Banquette menu, created by Mr. Joel Khalil, Executive Chef of the Corinthia Hotel in collaboration with Mr.Gábor Németh, Che to H.E., Mrs. Karin Olofsdotter, Ambassador of Sweden to Hungary.

|19.00 -19.30||Opening of the Gran GalaWelcome speech and toast in memory of Carl von Linné given by Mr. János Takács, Chairman of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Hungary. The Gran Prize is established by the Swedish Chamber in memory of one of the most acclaimed scientists in Europe, honoured as the Princeps botanicorum (Prince of Botanists), “The Pliny of the North,””The Second Adam”.

|19.30-19.45||“Rhapsody in Ecstasy”
Original musical composition written and performed by Ladislaus Horatius for the Gran Gala, with soloist Anna Lindqvist soprano. The piece amalgamates a symphonic poem, folk melodies and jazz. Anna Lindqvist, classical singer, graduated at the Music Conservatory of Florence. Ladislaus Horatius, composer and classical pianist, graduated at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.

Raffle of the menu of the 2014 Gran Gala will be drawn from the Nobel Banquette menus of the years 1970-2012.
