Deputy CEO for Operations, MAVIR Ltd.

Gergő Batta holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Power Engineering. He began his career at MAVIR in 2008 and has more than 15 years of experience in power system operation, electricity market development, and energy sector regulation. Throughout his career, he has played an active role in both domestic and international energy projects, as well as in the expert working groups of ENTSO-E. In 2015, he joined the Hungarian Power Exchange (HUPX) as Commercial Director and later became its CEO. From 2016, he worked with the Hungarian Energy Traders’ Association (MEKSZ), where he chaired the Electricity Committee and was elected to the Association’s Executive Board. In 2020, he returned to MAVIR as Director of System Operation and Market Operations, and since 2021 he has served as Deputy CEO for Operations. Between 1 July 2024 and 1 January 2025, he led the company as Acting CEO. He also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ADEX Group, which includes HUPX. As a leader, Gergő is committed to continuous development, collaboration, and empowering people.
