Introduction

The Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary (BCSDH) is committed to protecting personal data, with particular regard to the personal data of visitors to its website. This Privacy Policy provides information on BCSDH’s data protection and data processing practices.

We only collect personal data that visitors to our website explicitly and voluntarily provide. We collect a limited range of personal information from website visitors, such as name, job title, business address, email address, fax number and telephone number.

Visitors are not required to provide any personal data in order to access the publicly available sections of the website.   • requesting further information;
  • submitting a CV;

Data Controller

The operator of this website is the Business Council for Sustainable Development in Hungary (BCSDH), a public benefit association, with its registered office at 1118 Budapest, Ménesi út 9/A, Hungary.

BCSDH acts as the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this website and processes such data in accordance with Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

We recognise the value and importance of your personal data and take all reasonable measures to protect it in the course of our data processing activities.

Some links on our website may lead to websites that are not operated by BCSDH and are therefore not subject to the privacy practices of bcsdh.hu. BCSDH’s Privacy Policy does not apply to external websites accessed through links provided on our website. Security

We take all reasonable measures to prevent the loss, alteration, destruction or misuse of personally identifiable information. However, despite our efforts, we cannot guarantee protection against every possible risk.

Access to such information is restricted to appropriately authorised members of staff who are subject to confidentiality obligations.

Access to Information

Where personal data is retained, we do not accept responsibility for continuously verifying its accuracy. If we are informed that personal data provided through our website has changed, we will, where reasonably possible, update the relevant information on the basis of the new information provided by the identified visitor.

As a general rule, visitors are not required to register in order to access publicly available sections of the website. In certain cases, however, visitors may be asked to register in order to obtain a user ID and password necessary for identification and access to certain functions or services.

Data Retention

We retain personal data provided to us only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was provided, or for as long as we are required to retain it by law.

For example, visitors’ contact details, including information collected during registration for access to certain sections of the website, are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the visitor’s request or until the user asks us to delete the data.

Information contained in our mailing lists, records of communications and emails sent to us are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the visitor’s request. CVs are deleted when they are no longer required.

Amendments

BCSDH reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Any significant changes to the Policy will be clearly indicated on our website.

This Privacy Policy is effective from 23 May 2018 until withdrawn or replaced.
