János Kocsány
Member of the BoD, Graphisoft Park SE
After earning his degree in architectural engineering, he pursued further studies in economics, real estate management, and business administration (MBA). He began his career in 1981, working in various areas of the construction industry, primarily in construction project execution. One of the most exciting challenges for him was the use of computer technology to support on-site construction management.
Following a diverse career in architectural engineering, he moved into the real estate sector in 1994 as an investment professional, managing comprehensive property development projects. In 1996, he joined Graphisoft R&D, where he took responsibility for the development, leasing, and operation of Graphisoft Park. In 2006, Graphisoft Park SE became an independent, publicly listed real estate development company, and he served as its CEO from its establishment.
On 1 July 2025, he handed over the leadership of the company and has since continued to support its management as a member of the Board of Directors of Graphisoft Park SE.
Sustainability has been a key consideration in the development of the office park from the very beginning, and he now focuses primarily on advancing these efforts. Approximately 60% of the site has been dedicated to green spaces, with landscaping designed to support biodiversity and provide habitats for wildlife. In modernising the buildings, priority is given to reducing operational energy consumption and the carbon footprint.
The company benefits from the knowledge and insights gained through the BCSDH community in pursuing its sustainability goals and is equally pleased to share the experience and lessons learned throughout the development of Graphisoft Park with others.
