Skanska: Green House is Project of the Year

The prominent jury of 400 real estate professionals from Hungary and the CEE region chose the Skanska building to be the Project of 2013. The Property Investment Forum organized by Portfolio.hu was the ninth year when the real estate market assembled to discuss the main questions and future prospects of the property investment market.

Green House reached 93% occupancy before its first anniversary. We believe that Nordic Light, our coming project on Váci Road, will be as rewarding as Green House”, Grzegorz Strutynski, Managing Director of Skanska Property Hungary, said after receiving the award.

Completed in December 2012, Green House is the greenest commercial development project on the Hungarian office market, and the first one to certify for LEED Platinum with a top score. The one-phase, category “A”, standalone office development is located in the 13th district of Budapest, next to the Váci Road office corridor, and bordered by Kassák Lajos, Tüzér and Lőportár Streets and Kassák Park. The green office building was carefully planned to create ideal workspaces, while also considering the micro and macro environment. Cutting edge environmental solutions and green technologies were applied in each and every development phase to minimize the building’s environmental footprint, and reduce its energy use and carbon dioxide emissions.

The building comprises approximately 20,000 sq m GBA on 7 levels above ground, providing 17,800 sq m GLA and 252 car parking spaces on 3 underground levels. Some of the already-committed tenants are Avis Budget Group, MSCI, ABB and Deichmann.
