Business Solution Award

Business Solutions, Business Model Changes

The purpose of the Business Solution, Business Model Change Award is to recognize and widely disseminate innovative activities, that contribute to the SDGs, or systemic transformations in one of the following areas:

  • Circular economy
  • Climate protection and adaptation
  • Conservation and restoration of biodiversity

Deadlines:

  • Application: 31 July at 23:59
  • Notification the finalists: first half of September
  • Announcement of the results and award-giving ceremony at BCSDH Business lunch on 10 October

In the case of the Business Solution, Business Model Change Award, the application is valid upon payment of the administration fee (60,000 HUF + VAT), which can be transferred based on the invoice sent after the submission of the application.

If you wish to apply with multiple business solutions, each solution must be uploaded separately. We will send a confirmation to the provided email address upon successful submission of the application.

The application form can be filled online, but it is possible to cancel the filling in, even to continue from another computer.

Deadline for submission of final online applications: 31 July at 23:59

  • Accepted file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif.
  • Multiple target areas can be selected.
  • Summarize the business model and solution briefly! (What problem needed to be solved, what is the essence and impact of the solution) (Maximum 1500 characters)
  • Provide a brief description of the external environmental/social/market environment and the corporate/industry environment in which the business model change, business solution was born and implemented, helping the jury to understand the solution. (Max 1000 characters)
  • Explain the challenge or opportunity that the program, new business model sought to address, and present the desired outcome. It is mandatory to demonstrate the business relevance of the solution, i.e., how it relates to business goals and corporate performance. Objectives - What is the clear, date-bound, quantifiable statement or goal that the company commits to in the given area? (Maximum 1000 characters)
  • Present the details of the model or program and how it addresses the challenge or opportunity. It is mandatory to demonstrate what makes this solution innovative and progressive, and how it exceeds the usual business practices. What specific measures have been implemented to achieve this, and what does the company plan for the future? In which areas does it plan to take steps towards this? What specific measures or programs does it intend to use to achieve these goals? Why are these areas relevant? What results are expected from this? (Maximum 2000 characters)
  • Show how the model or program was implemented through collaborations. This could involve cooperation between corporate departments, market players, stakeholders along the value chain, or internal/external partners, highlighting the motivation of these partners. This is where involved experts can also be introduced. (Maximum 1000 characters)
  • Clearly state the achieved actual results. How far has the company progressed in achieving the set objectives? Where does it stand now? (compared to what and what is the metric) Please list both environmental, economic, and social impacts! This should include quantifiable indicators associated with the solution/program to demonstrate positive effects. Include feedback from external and internal sources confirming the positive impact of the solution. Please provide an estimate of how many people the solution/program reaches. (Maximum 1200 characters)
  • Show what steps the company is taking to sustain success and momentum, and how this solution will be sustainable and long-term. (Maximum 800 characters)
  • The confirmation of the top leader is necessary for a valid application. A quote from the top leader summarizing the essence of the company's commitment and its mission is required. We kindly ask the CEO or managing director to endorse the program in their own words, highlighting how it aligns with their and the company's strategic thinking. This sentence may later appear as a quotation in BCSDH's professional materials. (Maximum 600 characters)

  • Please list the links where further essential information, films, or video messages about the program can be found, which can assist the jury in their work. Include links related to objectives, individual goals, and business solutions, including access to sustainability/integrated reports.
