Balázs Báthory has more than 35 years of senior executive experience across multiple industries. Since January 2026, he has been working as an independent consultant, delivering his professional services through the family-owned company ZIAM Ltd.

His advisory focus remains on the strategic integration of sustainability, as well as on improving organizations’ operational efficiency and long-term adaptability. In his work, he places particular emphasis on how sustainability can become a governance, decision-making, and business value driver—rather than merely a compliance or communication issue.

Previously, between 2019 and 2026, he served as Deputy CEO responsible for innovation and strategic development at Market Építő Zrt., where he played a key role in embedding sustainability thinking at the corporate level. This included the establishment of the necessary organizational structures and the development of the company’s Sustainability Report—first of its kind in the Hungarian construction industry—which has since been renewed several times.

Under his leadership and professional guidance, numerous efficiency- and innovation-driven initiatives were implemented, including the incubation of organizational and knowledge centers (BIM, data analytics, LEAN Construction, sustainability), comprehensive digital transformation projects (ERP and HR management systems), the establishment of new organizations and investments, and a wide range of sustainability initiatives (ESG reporting, renewable energy and energy storage investments, and a Biodiversity Program).

His experience extends to the evaluation and implementation support of dozens of innovations with varying levels of maturity and complexity.

In addition to his consulting work, he is an active contributor to the sustainability and civil society ecosystem. He is a Board Member of BCSDH and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Bátor Tábor Foundation, where his focus includes philanthropy, fundraising, and the long-term sustainability, governance, and operational effectiveness of civil society organizations.
