Corporate partnerships for the introduction of new technologies

Continuously updating and developing the skills of employees is key to the success of a company, as skilled and motivated workers perform better. We have been working with our key supplier partners for several years to ensure that our colleagues can learn first-hand how to use the new tools or systems they offer and provide feedback on their experience. This collaborative approach delivers mutual results in the environmental, social and economic areas of sustainability.

Program Objective:

Budapest Public Utilities Nonprofit Ltd. is committed to providing continuous development opportunities for its employees, as skilled and motivated employees contribute significantly to the success of the company and the quality and efficiency of public services.

Over the past years, BKM has worked closely with a number of its supplier partners to ensure that the installation and roll-out of new equipment, technologies and systems supplied by them is smooth and that its staff can immediately become familiar with and expertly use these tools and solutions.

BKM aims to ensure that its employees have up-to-date, competitive knowledge that enables them to do their jobs effectively and efficiently.

Program Measures and Commitments:

We have developed close cooperation with many of our supplier partners, who share their first-hand experience and knowledge of using new tools and systems. This allows our staff to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently.

Another element of mutual cooperation is that we provide our partners with feedback that manufacturers can use to improve products and services, including customer relationships.

These knowledge transfers are interactive, practice-oriented, and feedback on the knowledge gained is part of the process. In this way, participants can apply the knowledge they have acquired in their daily work using new tools and systems, which are regularly updated on a recurring basis.

Program Impact and Results:

The aim of the introduction of the programme was to increase the lifetime of the new devices and systems, to reduce the number of failures caused by improper use and to reduce the number of process failures caused by improper system use. Our employees benefited from the training, which helped to increase efficiency and ensure quality work. This has led to a demonstrable increase in labour utilisation and a reduction in the unit costs associated with each of the economic and business management processes.
