BCSDH’s membership expanded with a logistics company: DPD Hungary Kft.
Founded in 2003 and currently employing more than 300 people, DPD Hungary Kft. is a member of the international Geopost group. Their strategic goal is to switch to renewable energy in all areas of their operations in order to improve their environmental performance and reduce their share of society’s share of the risk associated with local pollution and global warming.
By the end of 2023, their aim is to deliver with zero emission in five cities in Hungary, and then by increasing year by year the number of cities involved in zero emission, to become net-zero emitter until 2040.
DPD Hungary is committed to inclusion: it became a member of the “We Are Open” community, which is an association of businesses and organizations that judges everyone based solely on their actions and performance. Beside this they operate an abuse reporting system that is available to anyone.
They have been preparing sustainability report at the company group level for 6 years. Geopost is the first logistics company in the world whose sustainability strategy was validated by SBTi in 2023.
The company group’s strategy is based on sustainable operation and their goal is to be reference with their sustainable transportation solutions. By joining the BCSDH, they want to strengthen this professional competence.
