Competing for energy is really competing for resources
Competitiveness is no longer defined only by labour costs and financing. After the crises of recent years, secure energy and raw material supply, and predictable costs are increasingly the decisive factors. This was the focus of a panel discussion at G7 Paradigma’s “Competing for Energy” conference, featuring Anita Simon, Deputy CEO of ALTEO Nyrt.
Anita Simon highlighted the potential of combining on-site solar generation with energy storage, and also emphasized the circular dimension of cost management, as using secondary raw materials significantly reduces the energy needed to produce materials.
ALTEO’s strategy is built on exactly this integrated approach: the company generates and trades energy, develops energy storage solutions, and ALTEO Circular handles around 160,000 tonnes of waste every year.
